Promo – Responsive / Multipurpose Opencart Template

This is my first site on OpenCart. The theme is super responsive, there are many built-in modules. It was easy for a beginner to figure it out. There is a built-in CSS module in which you can edit the design and functionality of the site. The only thing that needs attention is the mega menu. I would like the categories and subcategories to have pictures.

I was looking for a template for almost a month, everything was either expensive and empty inside, or cheap but it looks like 2015. I came across Promo by chance, read what was inside and decided to try it. I didn't regret it. There are really a lot of built-in modules and you don't have to look for them separately and pay extra. I adjusted the colors to fit my brand in half an hour. The site looks good on the phone, I tested it on several devices. Sales after the launch went more actively, of course, not only the template is a merit, but the appearance of the site definitely matters when a person makes a decision to buy or go further.

I opened a store for the first time, I had almost no experience with OpenCart. I chose a template for a long time, looked at demos from different sellers. I stopped at Promo because the demo site looked lively and neat, not like a template stub. I ordered it right away, everything was done quickly with the installation, they adjusted the colors to my request. Special thanks to the support, they respond normally and to the point, not with unsubscriptions. It has been working for three months without any technical problems. Buyers sometimes write that the site is convenient for me, this is an important indicator.

I took the previous template from the OpenCart 2 era to redesign the old site, it looked appropriate. The transition took some time, but the result is worth it. The design is modern, everything works correctly on mobile, the page speed has improved. Of the minuses, I spent the first few days figuring out the settings, there are really a lot of them and you won't master everything right away. But there is documentation, there is support, I figured it out. I would like to have even more ready-made home page options to choose from, but overall the template is solid, you don't have to regret the purchase.

The template was perfect, there is normal documentation, the admin is clear, there are a lot of parameters but they are logically grouped. I took the quick start archive, it is a very convenient thing, the store comes with demo content right away and everything is already configured by default, which is fine. The design looks expensive and modern, everything is convenient and beautiful on mobile. From the start, there is everything you need to work. If you have any questions, support helps instantly. I am satisfied with the purchase and recommend it.

I installed Promo a few months ago, and I can write based on my real experience. The template is stable, I haven't noticed any strange bugs or conflicts with modules. It's convenient to choose Google fonts directly from the admin panel. The page loading speed after basic optimization is good. I'd also like to note that the built-in modules are enough for a full start. There is technical support, they are responsive. Overall, the template met my expectations, I recommend it.

I spent a long time choosing a template, looking at different options both on this site and on other platforms. I stopped at Promo and did not regret it. The design is modern, but not overloaded, everything is in its place. It adapts really well on mobile devices, I tested it on different phones and tablets. The dark theme is automatically turned on depending on the system settings, a trifle, but it is nice. I figured out the settings myself, the documentation is there and it is clear. There are a lot of settings parameters, you can adjust the appearance to your liking without a programmer. There are enough built-in modules so that you don’t have to immediately run to buy additional functionality. Support responds quickly, issues are resolved to the point.

I installed the Promo template and would like to highlight a few things that set it apart from other good templates.
Page load speed. The template is well-optimized, delivering high performance that has a positive impact on search rankings, user behavior metrics, and conversion rates.
Checkout (Smart Checkout). This cart module is thoroughly thought out. It allows you to minimize the number of form fields by removing unnecessary data requests from the buyer — which directly contributes to higher conversion rates. Another useful feature is the ability to track abandoned carts for follow-up work with incomplete orders.
Mega menu. Despite its straightforward settings, the menu is very effective at showcasing landing pages. It creates the structure of a full-fledged hypermarket with detailed category information, even if the actual product range is still limited.
Design. The interface is clean and tidy, with options to adjust the site layout width, a dark mode, and font style switching. The footer layout deserves special mention — all the necessary technical and navigational information is exactly where it should be.
The template's price was discussed earlier in this thread, and it has noticeably increased somewhat. When you think about what makes up that cost, the indispensability of this product and the potential of a future website built on it come to mind. The price includes 1 year of technical support, which helps with many important questions during template installation and the subsequent site build.

I purchased this theme as an alternative to Journal Theme. Originally, we wanted to completely avoid using a theme for our OpenCart store and instead buy or build our own modules.

However, considering the number of modules we would have needed to purchase, install, and configure, this turned out to be a much faster solution. The less time I spend setting up the e-shop, the more time we can invest in growing the business, so overall this was a very good investment.

The downsides I noticed are mainly the lack of proper documentation on how to configure everything. That said, it’s still fairly easy to understand within a few hours. Fortunately, the support team is very responsive when it comes to tickets, even though they don’t offer live chat.

If the documentation were more complete and some of the module names in the “quick start” were in English instead of Ukrainian, I would rate this 10/10. As it stands, I’d give it 8/10, since there’s still room for improvement. Overall, I don’t regret the purchase and would definitely recommend it.
